There hasn't been an update in a while because I went on a cruise, and then I was sick for a little while, so I'm just now getting back into running. I did run while on the cruise, but only twice. That was an interesting experience. The boat had a track on the top level so you could run while looking out at the ocean. It was a bit difficult to run while the boat was swaying back and forth. The wind also was blowing pretty hard so while running one way you were going into the wind and the other way it was helping you run faster.
I got sick on the day we came home from the cruise so I didn't run for about a week, and then Aunt Flo came and I'm just now getting my energy back.
Yesterday I went on my first group run in a while. I was running with the 102 group, but since it's been so long, I put myself in 101. Good thing too. 102 was running 4 miles and there's now way I could have done that. Instead I did 2.5 miles. Linus went with me and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Today was another 2.5 miles. I ran at home this time and got charged by a neighbor's dog. That was not fun. Eric's going to go with me next time.
Here's the running schedule for next week:
Day 1: 2 miles
Day 2: 2.5
Day 3: 2 miles
Day 4: 2.5
Day 5: 2.5

Hey! Smooochy from LJ here. I'm so proud of you for running on the cruise! I am still hanging in there, although I'm definitely not up to par with the rest of the 101 runners.
I ran my first consecutive mile last week and I haven't been able to do it again since then. I'm running 1/5 mile consistently (which is still ok with me since I really never saw myself sticking with it this long and I'm still 100 lbs overweight) so my runs are usually run until I just can't anymore, catch my breath and run again.
I think I'm probably running around 1.5 miles total. Are you running in race for the cure? I signed up a few days ago. I'm still not sold on Vulcan but maybe I'll change my mind closer to time.
